Quite enjoyed it even though the results didn't really go our way. Would have liked to have seen Harts run mind!!

Quite enjoyed it even though the results didn't really go our way. Would have liked to have seen Harts run mind!! Warner's commentary has gone all mainstream since Redbull took over, no laughs, no outrageous one liners, i liked him when he was pissed in the commentary box, he Gee'd things up with his mentalness, pleased that Emmeline Ragot won cos she rides a Mondraker but pissed that Gwin won cos he's a bit boring and just not very exciting to watch in my opinion, he seems to straightline stuff, he's got his own style i suppose, i wished Sam Hill was riding today, just his type of track and he would have put up more of a challenge to Gwin, good to see the young guns on the podium though, good to see positions changing, y'know, it would be shite if it was the usual suspects on the podium..... I'm gonna say it, some won't like it though cos he's a legend but Steve Peat should retire, I know he's still one of the fastest guys out there but he ain't had a really good result for a while now, the image of him at his peak holding his bike above his head at Fort William right in front of me is the best sporting moment i've ever witnessed so i wouldn't want that to be spoiled by him becoming a plodding auld fart, fuck i feel bad now for saying it haha

Really pleased to see Mike Jones do well today as well.
What in gods name did Aaron Gwin do between split 1 and split 2 though, everyone dropped about 6 seconds to him there

I think Mike Jones had the potential to win, he was clearly gutted about something in his run, took the top rock garden better than anyone else I loved the full on track but at times it was uncomfortable to was some of the crashes
And I don't want gwin to win

Thought people would be bored of it by now jones must have fucked up like, to still be pissed off despite getting his first podium!!!!! gutted mullaly had a mechanical on his first race for new team. Same with needles. ridiculous how many punctures there are these days. Same with last season

And I don't want gwin to win Why is everyone on the gwin hating bandwagon still? for me it was his recent interview on pinkbike where he thanked god for everything and said shit like gods will he rides a bike and crap and generally came across as a religious nut job. Up until that interview last week I didn't mind him

He's more interested in pissing about doing whips save that for rampage and get your finger out and do more proper training in the off season

Dunno whether Claudio has said something to him? Cos when he was commentating he said 'I hope he doesn't get too sideways over the jumps'
Needs to save that for practise

From the sounds of it, the wheel was fucked long before the procore system gave up the ghost, he got his flat at the top, he would have had to come through some rough stuff before we next seen him

Gwin was also the only one to flow thro that last tight corner before the bridge thing and not have to pedal out of it. Must have made some time there.

As they said in commentary he sets up very stiff so hes almost skipping across the surface rather than soaking it up, probably makes it pretty airy for him and goes some way towards either totally smashing the time or himself as it must be harder to control.
it was a bit of a anti climax with him leading from before the final even started properly and then so many having punctures.
