I'll be there as well mate I believe, probably from about 2/3pm onwards, be riding the red line a couple of times. Just look for me on the neon green bike and my mate who looks about as hipster as they get I#m always game for an XC ride, as long as there's a nice downhill section I can coast down

I live in Bellingham ...the capital of the North Tyne Valley! Population 25! I can leave the house on my bike and be in Kielder Forest within 20 mins( on a good day) .... With some great off piste riding The trails at Kielder are 20 mins by car ....used to be a commitee member for Kielder Trail Reavers... But had a fallout with the forum administrator ... ( sound familiar?) so have not done any trail building since. The Cheviot Hills are but a stones throw away... The Pennine Way passes through our village... Hexhamshire Common .....Bolts Law.....Allendale ... all about 30 mins by car. The Tweed Valley ....Innerleithen and Glentress all about 1hour 15 / 20 mins from my door . ... The eastern edge of the Lake District ...about the same ... so as you can see ... blessed for choice! Also our little group try to get away at least once a year for a few days ....mainly NW Scotland Highlands and Cairngorms ... Torridon ,Applecross Aviemore etc. and had a fantastic trip to the Isle of Arran earlier this year ... Which has it's own mtb club and website and is a fantastic place to ride www.arranbikeclub. Anyone visiting this area can always give me a shout ...but bear in mind that while I don't mind a climb ... I don't exactly race up them !

I've only ridden kielder once,we had a weekend in a log cabin at the side of kielder water last year. I'm not really sure where we went,i just remember doing deadwater (?) black a couple of times and twist and shout.can`t remember the names of any of the others, must take a map next time.i know we didn't do bloody bush or lonesome pime though.

Aye ... Lowcogger... You will have stayed at Leaplish. While I enjoy riding the trails at Kielder ... my first love was and always will be natural stuff ...and we have some great trails in the area ( some naughty stuff on trails that are not classed as bridleways too ...but they are so dammed quiet... You seem to be in the same sort of age group to fit right in with our lot ...and as long as you don't mind being blindfolded first we will show you some of the good stuff if you ever visit again! ?

All over Lancashire hills Mainly Pennines etc and don't really do trail centres prefer exploring. Going to start venturing down to peaks and also ride in lakes after work as I travel up there very day for my some would say not so gainful employment.

I love a bit of an adventure!
Not sure I'd have the nerve on the Pennines and the peaks though.. You could get properly lost there!
Mind you, I get lost on me drive way!
