All I need to do is find somewhere to store it, which means I'm coming to you DH laddies for some advice.
Budget: £3000 (through finance).
Now here's the thing, I'm 6'6" tall, very tempted by the Giant Glory at the moment, but I'm open to suggestions.

I've never been a fan of the YT bikes, I'm also under the impression they come up quite small? Being as tall as I am does limit my choices somewhat.
I've seen the GT Fury which I find awfully nice.

As doogs said, it's probably a good idea to try a few out first. I was pretty surprised at the size of dh bikes, I felt pretty comfortable on bettys large tr450 and he's a big unit

Doogs, thanks for that Fury link, that's looking to be the top contender atm! Badass, that Gambler is a close second.

Make sure you get an XL if you get a summum

Well, here's the result so far.
I've narrowed it down to 2 options:
- A 2014 GT Fury Team - currently £3500, but the guys in the LBS are talking to the owner and supplier to see if it can be had for £3000. - A 2015 Giant Glory 1 - Potentially the most likely as this is readily available and easier to get if the supplier on the GT won't drop down.

I had a gt when they used the i drive system and it was a pain to maintain although i think they've simplified it recently, i had a giant glory a few years back, brilliant bike, very supple, just what you want for a DH bike soaked everything up and very reliable, i'd recommend the glory mate

That's the way I'm leaning at the moment. The GT does come with a few nicer parts, Fox 40's being on of them, but the looks and how the Glory felt when I sat on it will win over I reckon.

I can get you a decent discount at singletrackbikes if you give them a google, myself and Euan have used them a few times
