For today's ride at Llandegla for example, SPD's are great I think! However I'm also getting some pain on my right knee and I also hear that flats are better on your knees...which makes sense! Also hear that the Shimano SPD's are actually not great because they don't give you much float on your knees/ankles/feet!
Third proper ride on the Hex...starting to get acostumed to her...and I'm very very happy with the bike! Happy I changed the volume spacer on the shock the other day since I've noticed now while washing the bike that I used almost all the travel, minus 3mm really! Did my first tabletop ever (and a couple after that) today and the feeling is amazing!

Glad you had a good day mate, tbf, last ride I had on the SS rigid, clipped in, gave me a massive pain in the right knee - since then on flats - no pain.

I would love one of them in 27+... I spent ages trying to decide if I was getting the Hex or this one...which would be cheaper too...but comfort played its part...and a lot of what it is said in that review, translates to the Hex. It's a fantastic ride... Like I mentioned before, great company and people to deal with!

Sort a Degla trip and I'll see if it passes the Jays Rides tests What exactly entails on one of those tests? Lol I'm always ready for Degla...but I've heard C&B is even better?! However, it rains a lot in Wales...!? Aren't you scared of rain anymore? LOL Degla in the dry and hot weather must be a dream!

However, it rains a lot in Wales...!? Aren't you scared of rain anymore? LOL Degla in the dry and hot weather must be a dream! CyB is worth a visit but I'd choose Degla over it any day.. You'll just have to pick a date when it's not raining, won't you lol The test involves the usual stuff.. A bit of time in the freeride area to start with and then I'll pay attention as to if it grabs the gaze of passing laydee's.. It has to pass both of these to be deemed 'Jays Rides Recommended'

[quote author=" beansontoast" source="/post [/quote]if it grabs the gaze of passing laydee's.. Lol...it's not working for me in that department...lol I reckon it needs to be really colourful and loud and say Santa Cruz for the ladies maybe!? This one is too engineered scaffolding for that sort of ladies "attention grabbing"! Lol But I F£&@ love the bike...to look and ride! A very happy customer! Kingdom bikes f£&&& ROCK!

Not surprised you're happy mate, It's a gorgeous bike and you're not likely to see too many knocking about.. I would love to spend a bit of time on it though just to see how Ti full suss feels.. If we ever ride together, we'll HAVE to swap bikes for a bit (just don't scratch my wheels)

I know everyone's idea is that Ti is only for HT and too flexy for FS...but it's not the case with Kingdom bikes, since they use real prototypes to make sure that doesn't happen...it's a if misconception! I'm sure we will ride together one day...(no gheyness intended!?) If you ever come to the Peaks let me know since I'm 10min away...loads of nice rides around Sheffield too if you ever fancy!
