can anyone recommend a good quality type of headset clamp thing. im continuously nipping up the headset which works loose during rides.the only thing I can think of is that the star washer keeps working loose and isn't up to the job. don't know if its just a crappy one or if it needs a different type altogether if there is such thing and if its a more reliable method.

After a number of injuries my son wanted to give me something special for fathers day this year just after I broke my collar bone at the end of may.

Way better than a star fangled nut.
A Dirk Pitt Bicycle Tip:
Slacken the bolt and compress the collar with a cable tie. Slides in really easy and you can ease it down the required 12mm. A lot easier than making it too loose and struggling to get the bolt to tighten up.

Also, use a torque wrench the ali bolt doesn't like being over tightened it usually snaps.

Wouldn't push it more than 5nm. ive fished a few out from people who come from the school of thought "tighter than a nuns nethers" school of thought

Head doctor fitted. It'll get a good testing on cutgate. Cant see the need to torque it to be honest as its only for taking up the bearing play so ithat determines how tight it should be
