Shimano have finally taken a head-to-head against RS!
Could this be the reliable dropper we have all been waiting for? (Like all other Shimano components are...!?)...hopefully with a reasonable SLX price.

From what I have been reading in terms of reliability
1- 9point8 and Fox Transfer
2- all others...

The Thomson was supposed to be super reliable with a 2 year garantee hassle-free post. I had two, external and internal routed and both had problems...ok, very easy problems to solve, but still...

I thought you bought the Hilo? If you didn't, I would try and wait for this one, might be the reliable one!
As much as 150mm is a nice to have, I think 120mm is enough!

There is also a new one from BikeYoke that has a bleeding valve incorporated, so in principle, very easy to maintain. Being German, should be good too.
