Anyone fancy a Cannock ride next week? I can do any day. To avoid rush hour traffic, a start at about 10-00 (or finish by 16-00) would suit me.
I'm fit enough from running/road biking about 1 - 2 hours every day but probably (compared to most of you chaps) bit rusty on techy stuff. Working on it though.
EDIT: Just in case no one can come, will I be OK on my own if I don't act silly? Any advice or comment welcome. Except to point out that I'm Billy no mates.

i ride chase on my own alot. well sighned and great trails. should be fine. nowt silly there realy trail wise. a small black section over on the monkey but can avoid if not confident mate.

Yeah, any day that suits you, just give me a bit of notice and I'll be up for it.
I don't know what sort of standard I'm at compared to such as you guys yet but I'm about where I expected compared to people I've ridden with on the two trips I've done.
- Climbing was fine.
- Fast descents were a bit hairy - but great fun and I didn't come off.
I think I ran a bit wide on the exits but as I'm getting more confident I'm using the banking a bit better and leaning in harder to give me a better exit line.
No malamute. (Although I did see a couple of Bichon Frises in the car park)

We usually put having a laugh and taking the piss before the actual riding.

yes most the piss taking aimed at me ... lol till I divert it to someone else  we ride for fun mate just banter have a laugh grap a coffee break some where and just chill never any pressure to do something you don't want ...(jay)
