This? very nice - sounds a tad heavy at 390g? (Bell is no weight weenie at 380, but must admit, doesn't feel heavy to me) but rave reviews - you'll have to give us a verdict Seb. Fox MetahThat's the one, with the green, black and red I'll do a little write up when it's come through.

Ended up with the new Fox Metah myself. Was tempted by the bell super 2R, popped into a shop and tried one on, my head was too big, chin guard was very close to my chin, felt quite uncomfortable!

Won't be making this sadly, dropper hasn't reached the shop yet. Don't fancy having to do it the old fashioned way.

Yup, I'll just replace it with a Shimano one.

They only do a XL/XXL in the POC. I'll keep looking, I would have gone with Bell, but all their helmets seem to give me a mushroom head.

Need some help on a helmet myself. Had an off today, head first into a tree, my Troy Lee A1 has a lovely dent, so time for a new one. What would people suggest? I'm looking at the POC Trabec, but I'm unsure on sizing? I wear a L A1.

Thanks all! It's an amazing bike, the chain is going in the bin though, snapped and binned me right into a tree. My helmet has a fair dent in it now so that needs replacing.
Anyway, ride report:
It's lovely, the suspension feels plush yet at the same time has an amazing 'pop' to it. I've been charging straight over clumps of roots I'd previously have taken an alternate line through. It hops and skips through berms, blasting out through them! the Knolly always felt pretty stiff, I never felt like I could feel the suspension working. The Rune is totally different. It's a totally different animal, I only managed a couple of runs but it already feels amazing. I'm hoping my reverb comes through tomorrow so I can get that fitted and up to Cannock Saturday, don't fancy manually moving the post!
I'll give a better report once I've got more time on the bike and a new helmet!

Everything except the blacks has obstacles that you are able to roll over (ie no gap jumps), but take your full face, it's the kind of place when something goes wrong, it'll go wrong badly.

If the Rune is fully running and my dropper has arrived I'll be there. Might be 0930 to allow for my lazy ass to get out of bed!

I get through about 6 espresso a day, usually mixed in with other stuff.
A great way to enjoy coffee without shelling out for a machine is start going down the pourover route, look at things like the Chemex, V60 or have a look at the Aeropress, great tiny bit of kit you could pop in the bag along with a little stove to heat some water out on the trails.

I'll pop up after work tomorrow Honestly though, without getting too much into the 'art' of making espresso, it's more about the quality of your grinder over the machine. With the machine as long as the water is around 92*C and pushed through the ground coffee (a fine grind, a little coarser than talc powder) at around 9bar (130psi), with your tamp correct then you'll get a decent cup. If you're actually wanting to learn more, let me know and I'll PM you some more info etc.

It's a Rancilio Silvia. Marketed as a 'prosumer' machine, but one of the more low end ones, still set me back £600 with the coffee grinder. Makes a damn good cup of coffee though!

I've decided what I'm doing, I'm going to check out the new 417 Project, not too far from me, and 3 DH trails, £7 for pushup.

Think I might just head East to Swinley, it's somewhere I've wanted to go for a while. Everywhere in Wales is a little too far to drive just for the day.

1 - This is NOT for trail center marked routes, use the Forum rides board for that (http://www.mtb-uk.co.uk/board/5/forum-rides) - Exception to this is if you're riding ALL off piste/unmarked trails and use the center as a start point.
2 - Strava map of the route must be included, this can either be a direct link from the site or a screen shot.
3 - Please give a description of the terrain, any large features, points of interest so members can make a decision regarding their ability.
4 - Include directions on how to get to the start of the route from the nearest town.
5 - Include photos of the ride so members can see what it's like and whether the trip is worth it.
This list will no doubt get updated so please check back every now and then,
