Got a great natural all weather ride to throw into the mix out of Threlkeld ...mostly rocky tracks a nice dry crisp day would suit ..do you think we will get one again this year ..would be a great introduction to the lakes for Rlo in the spring though .. im due another lakes ride sometime soon, but i was thinking south lakes for a daytrip......north lakes... is like....even further

Glad the Mega is working well! What do you think about the bigger wheels? Do you even feel any difference or is it just the overall package? As soon as I get mine finished around Spring, I count on you to take me on some good testing routes! Lol no idea wether the bigger wheels are any better gonzalo, my opinion is that theres so little difference in size, there wont be any noticable difference in performance, and as has been said before, (mainly on another forum ) theres far too many variables to compare pros and cons with a completely different bike and components. my main concern at the moment is that the wheels might not be up to the job as they were only a cheap set to get me going. iv always regarded them as a spare set , second to some good ones when i get them, which i hope will be pretty soon. yep they'll be plenty of peaks rides to try out the new build. think youre going to have to step it up as well with a lakes ride. hodgy and a few others know the lakes better than i do, and i dont know if youve ridden the lakes before, but the scenery will take your breath away

several months ago ,the calibre bossnut was realeased by go-outdoors. as i was in the market then for something new, i wanted to see and testride one. but they never materialised in store, they were only available to order on line without seeing one first. iv been back on their website for a nosey.........and.............the bossnut is nowhere to be seen. wonder whats happened to it? was it just a short term marketing ploy? it got rave reviews in MBR, if thats anything to be believed anyway. now it doesnt seem to exist.

we used to be able to post pics direct from our pc but apparently it was taking up too much room, so now we have to use a hosting site

yes im hoping that wales goes forward with the same kind of access laws as scotland. it might lead to the whole ofthe uk rethinking access for the benefit for all when any walkers give a rollocking to riders for riding somewhere cheeky, its good to remind them that it walkers in the first place who broke he law for the mass tresspass on kinder scout, which led to walkers getting the access they wanted

im not 100% on this answer but bolt thru and drop outs are 2 different things. its either thro or drop out. and i think thro axles are both frame and hub specific but theres adapters for 135mm or 145mm and 12mm and 15mm hubs................i think. confirmation is needed from someone who knows for sure

agree with that, dry sunny cold rides are good.this mild wet riding gets a bit off-pissing, altho i dont mind getting splattered with with mud, its the unridable slop that i dont like. oh and sheet ice! dont like that!its got to be cold and dry,not cold and icy
