from this (removed front direct attach front mech) to this all for £5 from Superstar . funny thing was i wasn't even looking for it , i was looking to see if there where any good deals on pedals as sending the new nukeproof evo back to CRC . its really made it very tidy and goes with the other red bits on the bike . really pleased with it and couldn't believe it came with a groove with being a groove in my bike , not sure if this is the norm but so pleased with something so small but then plays a big part in making the bike look neater .looks so much better in the flesh too.

I would personally gone for a black one to blend with the frame, however much better than it was though.
I didn't like this bit when I switched 1x10 on my whyte with raw edge on a black frame I covered it in a kind of tape with metal bits in it which was matte black. I have the same on my canyon hard tail so I might look into a Matte black one of these. Cheers for bringing to my attention.

I thought it was a fancy new GoPro till i took a closer look. Shows how out of touch i am these days.
Deffo tidies it up, is it a Stereo? They come with plenty of red on them if it is so i bet it slots in nicely with the look of the bike.

Errr....' Scuse my ignorance but what exactly is "it" .... its a plate for when you take the front mech off some bikes (direct attach). and it just makes it look nicer without having an ugly bit of raw metal sticking out like a sore thumb . i was going to just tape it up until i seen it and never knew they existed.

You could have put it on straight, I've just ordered something similar off eBay, going to get it sprayed same colour as my frame. thanks for that - I looked all over for one when I removed mine and could only find a Yeti one for silly money. Ended up colouring it in with a Sharpie. I'll get one and colour in the SS logo as I don't want Adam beating me to death on the trails.

Okay I'll stick with what I've got. Don't want you biting your tongue (although I'm sure it tastes better than that carp you've been eating lately.

Ignore grumpy chops Killswitch - I'll get one in black, what do you search the SS site for to find it?

Do you notice much difference on steep technical stuff, or is more aimed at high speed flow? Any spiking on multiple impacts? When is the enduro version coming out?

Top tip: Can't afford a Superstar direct mount blanking plate for your redundant direct mount? Simply stick a lump of chewing gum (or a nice piece of carp) on it and save a fiver.
PS. Competition time: Spot the deliberate error in the above.
T&Cs: Fishmongers, their employees and Adam are excluded from the contest.
