So my new frame arrived today, could not wait to get home from work to open her up.  All looking good till I noticed these marks, are they normal on a matte Finnish?   |

Doesn't look normal to me. Should be plain matt with no marks I would have thought.

It doesn't look normal to me but I've never had a matt frame!
It looks as though the paint has rubbed off and is exposing the raw carbon!

Doesn't look right to me either. Didn't you see one in the shop - what was that like ?
They tried to deliver mine today - 15mins after I'd gone out !!!!!!!!!

I never noticed any marks on the bike when I was there on Saturday, if this is normal then ill change it for an orange one, ill email them and see what happens, what you ordered will?

It's UD carbon folks.. Without the classic finished weave of little boxes you see on carbon products!... It's perfectly fine, just a carbon frame in its rawest form!..

It's a raw frame with a matt coating.. As apposed to painted glossy..

UD carbon hasn't got it's asthtetic woven finish like 12k or whatever..

Just had a quick read about it. UD is stronger than the classic 3k weave - not sure about the look though.
