Haven't done the Donkey in weeks. Have to get back on it on Tuesday to try and get a bit fitter for Degla on the 16th. My climbing is going bloody backwards just now.

I really wished I lived closer to the Chase. The 3hr drive is a bit too much for quickly popping down after work though :/

We had a great morning had some banter with a few riders , up there .. There was one knob... Who just barged pass , and when I moved over not a thanks or anything pushed pass both my mate was funny watching one of my mates who's 52 chasing after him.. And then buzzed his back wheel lol to teach him a little lesson.. Bloke about s.. this pants ..
Always polite to say thanks when people move over happy days

Cannock Chase Visitors Centre Marquis's Dr Hednesford, Cannock, Staffordshire WS12 4PW You don't have to pay at this bit and you can jump straight on to the trail ..
Or The bike trails all start at Birches Valley Forest Centre - WS15 2UQ. And you pay

Is marquis drive at the side of the main road near the new bridge that replaced the railway crossing? No mate.. Marquis Drive is a reeeeeally long road. Do you remember Kitbag hill at the end of The Monkey? You go up the hill and take a right to continue onto Follow The Dog? If you go straight on instead of turning, you end up on the part of Marquis Drive a lot of folk park on! If you wanted to get there by road... Errrrm, you know the main road you cross on The Monkey? If you're finishing The Monkey (heading to new bridge) when you cross the main road you'd need to turn left up the main road (Hednesford Road), take the next right just before the traffic lights, over a bridge and right at the lights...Just keep going straight on and you end up there.. Keep going straight and take a right turn and you end up at Birches Valley!
