I want some tubeless tyres that do it all.
XC, light/moderate DH, trail centres etc.
I'm not too fused about them being 'fast rolling' our whatever that term is.
It would be a bonus if they shed mud well but it's not a necessity.
What do y'all suggest?

Continental Trail Kings - Black Chilli compound, they stick to everything and haven't found them too draggy either.

Minion looks good for the front.
Which variant though?
With Schwshkotgh I just picked a name and width and I was away.

Naaahh....the car tyres are way to big for the bike ...

To be honest Adam ...it just worked out that way by default..upon checking my bike over one evening before a ride I noticed a split in the carcass of the tyre ..too late for a bike shop to be open and no chance of getting one sent ..the only other option was a super tacky I had lying around ..which I didn't fancy ..so I rang my mate who runs the lbs & bike hire at Kielder at home and he had a very partly used Ardent which he had swapped for something else ...£15.00 ! The combo seems to work well the way it is ...maybe it would work better the other way ..but def a case of " if it ain't broke don't fix it " thinking here ....

I have snow tyres on my Astra estate - gets me out of most mud and snow problems - nice and safe and sensible I have sch.. Rocket Rons on bike - bloody stupid but great fun - keeps my degenerating reflexes working as drift sideways down muddy descents Seriously tho ride everywhere with these - snow ice mud and never felt disadvantaged so maybe answer to question is whatever suits you and stuff all the hype - Hodgys £15 tyre makes the point - bought on price not reviews and suits him just fine

Tyres though really depends where you ride, If I rode with you guys id probably struggle with the 2.4 up front and 2.2 on the back. If you came down here it could be the same situation.

Tyres are subjective. I know i'll be replacing the Spesh tyres with more, that's for sure. They know what they're doing at Specialized that's for sure. Is the Ground Control the " mud tyre" ? If so do you run that year round with no probs ?

I'll answer my own question here..lol! That would be the Storm Control ...anyone used these..supposed to be well rated as a mud tyre?

I had a ground control, really nice tyre but it rotted from the inside after I used stans tubless on it. No idea why left me in the lurch miles from anywhere. Storm controls meant to be very good mind.

I think I'm going to opt for a 2.35 Magic Mary on the front and a 2.25 Hans Damph on the back! I'm going to petition Schwalbe about not making Fat Alberts for 27.5 wheels

From what others have said (not just on here but all over the MTB tinterwebs) it sounds like a perfect combo, especially for the mixed riding you do. You know, shit riding, very shit riding or on a good day, average. What's happening with the Nukey frame?
