I know that there is a relatively new trail centre there ..which has a 27km red graded route ..but I haven't ridden it . To be honest there is just so much really good natural riding there ..around the Rosedale / Lastingham areas that I haven't even considered this yet ..besides which we only get down that way every couple of years or so ...

About 40 mins off A1 , it's a great ride but don't expect trail centre stuff and it's mainly natural (joining up of various bridleways ), quit a lot of climbing too .

I do like natural you know - in fact 80% of my riding is off piste these days. When the bugger dries up enough that is. Cannock off piste is just axle deep mud in places.

lovely bike shop and facilities, small skills loop in car park.theres a blue /red loop around 8k which has some stunning views, then the red leads out into the moors with miles of natural singletrack.we are planning an all day ride from there over to guisboro in the summer, just trying to plot a doable route.

All the routes are in effect an extension of the lesser grade one , you start off from car park and it's RGB , then the green splits off and takes a short loop back , then a bit later the blue cuts off and chops the big red loop out , takes me about 3 ish hours so it's a reasonable run , I'll be up there at some point over easter if that's any use .
