sunday 29th is good for me.
we normally park at cocklett hill car park, that`s on dugdale lane (B6478) after the dog and partridge pub and before the hub car park. parking here means you finish on one of the best bits of the ride imo. here`s a good taster for gisburn.hully gully in the dry is awesome,in the wet it`s ermm...interesting. nice tactical dismount @8:00

I will tip my hat in the ring for this and also say I can get one more bike in my car if someone makes it to Preston station which obviously has good connections as it's on the west coast main line. About 45 minutes to an hour to gisburn from the station. Don't forget the clocks go forwards that day.

When was the last time you went Paul? They've redone that section where it brings you back out at the car park, it's a bit boring now. They've got rid of the north shore section and out hardcore down.

Oh good news the north shores gone that was my major sticking point at gisburn and the reason I didn't ride there often. Not a huge fan of the place to be honest but going to finally get out on a forum ride after missing whinlatter and hopefully making Snowdon for the day. It will be good to be able to identify whose arses I will be seeing a long way in the distance when climbing snowdon

Gisburn sounds fun but I'm working the night before you're going but you guys who work nights sleep all shift,no? With the 28th being Saturday, I'll probably get a few hours kip beings as maintenance are the only people there. It would seem rude not too! Not nearly enough sleep to trust myself behind the wheel of a car down the M6 though! I was a little intrigued on a previous post when you said ( Jay) that you worked at 100ft ..and meant to ask then what it was you did ? Not that I'm being nosey or owt.... I'm a maintenance engineer! I maintain stuff in a fully automated distribution centre. I don't work at height all the time! The height work comes in when working on the SRM's (cranes). It's about 107ft at the highest working space!

I'm working Satdee and Sundee nights - so the whole weekend is no good for me, sorry Jay, no lift from me. Adam, there is a copy of my 2015 working rota in the post on the way to you. Please ask whoever does the next forum ride to consult it beforehand - it would be nice to make one this year! I'll move this thread to the forum rides bit.

Gaz is a good lad for a roadie glad you are sorted, though how you think you're going to sleep on the motorway with him and his One Direction best of CD's is beyond me.....
