However if there is one, why not make it like the buy/sell section, where you can only post after a certain amount of posts. Meaning that we don't get overwhelmed with roadies and the section is just used by everyone who's on here at the moment and has a road bike?

Whilst I have nowt against roadies (used to be one 33 years ago!) I'm in the no camp , Isn't this forum called MTB-UK , if I wanted info/chat about road bikes I'd be logged onto Road bike-UK .

I've gone for no. For no other reason than the fact I don't browse the forum by section (or sub-section) rather by the 'Recent Threads' function, therefore I would still see all the roadie related threads. Part of the reason I got bored with MTBE was that it became all about roadies. I've nothing against them but I wouldn't like a roadie section on here for the same reason I don't feel a Mitsubishi sub-section belongs on a Subaru forum* - yes they both have 4 wheels and drive on the road but that's where the similarity ends. That's all *ps I know nothing about Scoobies or Mitsy's it was simply an analogy |
