I do hope so mate - I need my peaks debut to be as gentle as possible, which means no feckin snow or rivers running down the trails please!

There shouldnt be any snow, and rivers on trails means good grip. Depending on whether the weather sorts itself out im thinking of tweaking the first couple of miles, at the moment it'll be an absolute uphill bog

Riding the peaks when it's cold and damp is the best time to ride them, when it's hot and sunny you tend to get distracted by the awesomeness of the place and miss out on the top quality trails

right then men! can we have a show of hands for Wednesday? so we know whos turning up and who isn't.depending on how many there are we could meet on the road outside ladybower fisheries. if theres not enough parking spaces there we'll meet 100 yards down the road in the heatherdene carpark. we'll do Zulus gentle bit right at the beginning to get it out of the way early . 9.00am meet time.

Is the postcode for the meeting place the one mentioned earlier in the thread?

Would I be best off using that rather than the one mentioned earlier?

I'm still hoping to be there. I've not got my bike back yet though. As promised, Leisure lakes sorted me a demo bike for last Thursday's planned ride. A medium stumpjumper. At 6 foot 3 a medium is not the size I was hoping for so I had to cancel my ride. He's on the case to get me a different bike for Tues so I'll only know then
