Yes, sorry Roundie, just wanted to show the spec for the money - only a weeks lead time, all being well.

Thanks for the edit Gaz - bit mental here today so hadn't got around to it. I know it's just figures and words but it gives an idea of the brilliant (imo) value Bird are offering, as I have done the test ride and know it's also a bloody fun HT - proper chuckable and corners like nothing I've ridden before, I think it's a bargain. The build choices are almost endless too with many being 'free' choices. I'll be saving for a dropper now which is the only thing missing and which funds won't stretch to right now.

Just added that mate - 12.2 with reverb but without pedals - mine will be slightly lighter? as no reverb. Not an XC lightweight by any means but it certainly doesn't ride 'heavy' if you know what I mean - i think for 140mm travel bike that's built for trails rather than out and out XC that's pretty respectable - I know it feckin flies! Lot fleeter and more nimble than the Chief.

It is a great spec for the money, I've seen lots of glowing customer reviews and good demo feedback on their full suss, im sure this is just as good.
get yourself some Delta mags in the sale in the pink, I think they will match well. 30% off with FLASHDMAG (I think if not its on their facebook page). I couldn't resist ordering some with ti axles last night (250gm)

I got some Delta mags couple of weeks back Kirky - couldn't quite force myself to go pink though went boring black. Tbh I'll probably start off with the XT spds on and see how it goes, might go flats on it during the summer, I'll see.

When's the expected delivery? They are still processing the payment Jan but they say within a week! actually 3 working days for tubed set up but as I'm having a tubeless set up they keep the bike a couple of days to ensure no leaks and all is sealed - they are pretty thorough, great thing about buying from a relatively small outfit that is owned by actual MTB'ers and not just money men.

I know it sounds crazy. The spec he was going to build was lower than the On one and would have cost more to buy. When his Alpine is finished it will be a top spec bike without the £4000 price tag.

Yes, yes you would have. But that's only because you are a hoof wanking, thunder chunt.
