The m4 had a larger master cylinder before it became the e4... well thats still irrelevant because that'll mean the V4s had a larger master cylinder when they had the same tech 2 levers??

Little update done but need to add a couple more chain links , 42t on back 32 on front Gold chain! yer tart! I'll have to get a new chain ordered - don't fancy adding links to a near 2 month old chain. So what difference has the expander made Gaz? Was thinking of going 1x10 myself but I would probably have to go as low as a 30 up front and i'm too proud to do that and have an expander

See it as a necessary Peaks upgrade... When you turn up

Well Ive been on a test ride today, think I'm going for 30 up front lol struggle on a couple of climbs .. Don't think I would of made it round the peaks on this set up.. Missed my granny ring , but will stick with it , for a bit see how I get on, did like the fact I didn't have to think about changing on the tripple .. So Mr prez, if I was you stick with the two up front and bang the 42 on the back or put a 30 on the front ...

Next time I come to the Peaks with you, have a go on my Mega and see how you like the gearing on that!
It was a bit tough to begin with but, like SarkyAdam said, you adapt... And it happens a lot quicker than you think!
I'm not the fittest person about, I eat to much shit, smoke too many fags, drink too much cider and am generally too much of a lazy barstool for that and I adapted very quickly.
Don't automatically go for gearing that will make things easy, go for gearing that will provide a bit of a challenge. Making things easy will get your fitness nowhere!
My opinion:- Stick with 32 upfront and stick the 'expander' on the back as a 'get out clause'.
You do a lot of riding, it would be such a shame to not see your fitness improve because you made things easy for yourself!

Fair point jay I'll stick with it mate was a bit of a shock not getting up some sharp short climbs yesterday .,, but got to say my legs are a tad sore

Just give it a chance, maybe a few weeks! I'd imagine your legs are pretty drained after your BHF ride so perhaps rest up for a day or two and try the same short sharp climbs again? At the end of the day, you know what you can and can't do.. When I started riding, every time I went out I'd ride up the same bas***d of a hill and every second or third time I went up it, I could see an improvement! Now that same hill is nothing!

Well after a couple of rides now , on the 32f t 42 on the rear , Im getting use to it.. Not sure how I will get on at degla Wednesday fingers crossed ... I do like the way it's easyer to clean round the front chainring and crank arms plus the uncluttered look as well ...
