Quick teaser just for now... Kept it quite but I sold my Spesh last weekend to a local guy. Within a day the cash was burning a huge hole in my pocket and I did not enjoy being bike less. After abit of searching and a lot of waiting for Mr postman, I finally got it today. Can anybody guess what it is...

If it's an enduro I'll be jealous, never really fancied a spec until I seen the new ones!

Probable not a good idea to post your address on a forum! Especially since you've just got a new bike.

Haha,all will be revealed tomorrow...
Good point there, however the bike stays indoors, and any theif would have to deal with the guard dogs, CCTV, Trip Mines and Moat infested with crocodiles before they could even get a sniff of the bike!

Haha bit of a trick question! I new the specialized box would confuse you all... Instead, it's a Maxim Leela. A very small, Welsh company who only make 3 bikes. The Leela is their AM/Trail/Enduro bike. Compared to my last bike, it's on a completely different level! So far I've only had a quick test around the street on it, there's a few things that need replacing before o can take it out on the trails, so I've stripped it down to the frame for a good clean today Spec: Rockshox Revelation Dual Airs 150mm Rockshox Monarch Plus Superstar AM wheels (just to please Sarky) 1x10 Shimano Groupset (Zee Shifter/Rear mech, XT cassette, SLX Crankset) Shimano SLX brakes Mixed finishing kit (Funn/Charge) Before I saw the advert on Pinkbike, i had never heard of them before. Certainly a lot rarer that my old Specialized! It needs a new chainring, chain, BB and set of grips before its rideable but they'll be ordered soon. In time, I'd also like to swap the decals on the rear shock to a stealthy set and get a matching SLX rear brake lever as it's been replaced with a Deore The guy I brought of from was great, he included a few tyres, shock pump and some other accessories. In the end, I payed £650 for this, which IMO is a bargain. The frame new retailed for £999 alone! Can't wait to get it out on the trails!

I like the look of that! bloody bargain too!
As you might know, I'm into the more obscure/less common bike makers myself - so well done that man. Let us know your thoughts when it's ready to rock and roll.

It's just a nice feeling knowing you're not likely to run into someone else with one. Creates a good talking point.

Cheers boys! Yeah im really happy with it, ordered new chainring,BB,chain and set of grips so it will be out on the trails soon! Must say, i really did like the look of it when i saw it for sale According to the previous owner, they're very similar to Specialized Pitch in terms of geo, just these have bolt thru rear end and tapered headtube, so its better! I really doubt i'll see anyone riding one of these so thats kind of cool. Gone from one of the biggest brands in MTB to one of the smallest

Well I've just got back from the first ride on this beast! My first thought was ''holy fuck'' !!! It was incredible, i now know why so many people ride long travel Full Suss over short travel XC Hardtails!!! I rode about 4 or 5 trails, and on all of them, the bike felt so much faster and more composed than my old HT. It had endless grip in the corners, pumping through the berms was brilliant, and it would glide over the roots. There wasn't too many jumps to test it out on, however the drops and small jumps that i did encounter felt alot better. I think i've got the suspension set up near enough spot on, but some fine tuning over the next few rides should have it perfect! I might see if i can add some tokens to get a more progressive feel, im not sure if its possible with the fork and shock or not. Anyway, the bike rides great, and im well impressed with it. This is the first time ive rode a Full Suss in anger, and i must say, i love it. It was much easier to lean over through the corners and not worry about the front end sliding away. When it did slip out on an off camber section, it was predictable and easy to catch before eating shit, which was good! All the components on the bike feel good. I felt much more confident riding this, and i felt like i could carry more speed through each section. I wasnt going to, but i did run Strava today. On one trail, i got a top 10 and another a PB, so i cant say much more! I did loose rear brake power at one point, which im not too sure why, and also the frame/rear shock creaks under compression, so i need to have a look at that. Also, a longer seatpost wouldn't go a miss just for the long climbs, can feel it in my knees and back abit now... The only real downer to the ride was a puncture, think its the first one ive had this year, bloody typical! Cant wait to get back out on the bike now, will take it up the DH tracks next i think! 'At the top of the first climb' ''On the push back up before sending it off that ladder drop... Saddle dropped, ready to shred!''

Nice one, a new bike gives you a big boost and bigger nutz to tackle harder stuff, especially a double bouncer.... a longer seatpost you must be 8 ft tall if that one's too small ...it's HUUUUUGGEEEE haha
