It would be good to have a weekend of riding.. For me to do that though, I'd have to jump onto a ride being organised here or on another forum! The people I ride with have no sense of adventure and are more than happy to ride the same route day in, day out.. If I asked them if they fancied a weekend riding trip, they'd have a heart attack! They won't even go to Llandegla

I remember when I first rode the beast at CYB with some work colleagues... I came home depressed... And couldn't wait to get back...

My aim is to get out to more places , normally just do xc round here .. So would like to try a few of the bike parks in wales , Gisburn etc Plus would like to try up the lakes as well.. My lack of ability and bottle tends to let me down...

I'd like to spend more time in Wales too. Bike Parks and trail centres!
Also Snowdon.

What postcode are you's using for a weather forecast? Or are you just putting 'peak district'?

Up Derbyshire mate, I wouldn't rely on Weather apps or reports... I usually go by... How wet my hair is getting prior to putting my lid on... And do I have a cape when my jacket is undone....

Oh I see - you said 'people' Adam I love singletrack, just don't think I'm at the right time of life in my 50's to begin a DH career, I don't bounce that well these days Aston's younger and a lot braver than me so fair do's to him. Doing the red run at Stile Cop is as gnarly as I get. Plus I couldn't jump over a matchstick. Going to Degla on Tuesday - that's my kind of adventure.

Him and his brother.. Both the same! I swear they think the world would end if they ride other places. Went to Llandegla a couple of months back and all he did was complain.. Having a drink after a ride or stopping for a brew, omfg, no chance lol At least you laugh.. Even if it is at yourself

Don't think I do Adam, but the whole FF helmet, body armour broken collar bone thing just ain't for me, with the best will in the world you just don't heal so quick once past 40.
Sad but true.
IRide you are right mate, I give myself plenty of opportunity to laugh at myself too with my skillz.
