Well got my front forks back and shock sent them off for some tlc after a year and half worth of abuse .. So went for the push tuning not cheap service is is spot on got them to collect the forks , they let me know when they got them rang me during the service to get an idea of my riding style or lack of it and set them up according to the info I've given them .. They look A bit different to the fox CTD now as that has all been removed they feel complete different and sound very different bit like Jays bos forks havant been able to test ride them yet due to two things full of man flu and a little mistake by tf .. They fitted the wrong eyelet bush on the bottom shock Just waiting for the offending part to turn up .. If any problems with the setting I've got to send them back and they will alter it to how i like it .. Can't wait to try them out..

I was about to ask the same thing! What's replaced the CTD then?

I've just recently got my reverb back from TF tuned, absolutely awesome service and got it back next day too which is fantastic. I'll be sending the pikes in for servicing over the winter.

Can't say how much I'm still in shock 225 notes for the push tuning they basically replace everything in side your forks Lock outs gone as well .. But saying that tended not to use the front .. The rear 140 notes considering you can buy a new fox for 300 notes .. So up to ya self if it's worth it.. From all the reviews I read they said it makes a hell of a differents so tossed the coin and went for it.. Oh and the travels gone to 160 MM ? So you get a complete strip and clean full service fitted push elite factory fork system with air volume cap you can run a lot lower air pressure as well where I was running 120 psi these are set at 80 psi ... Same on the shock as well ... www.tftuned.com

How come you didn't go for the black stanchion upgrade? That would look super cool on your bike. I was given the choice but still like the gold

Both my forks and shock have been push tuned by tf. Was already done when I purchased the bike...but if I'm honest i had no idea what it ment. The guy just told me he he had it done as tbe 2013 ctd stuff wasn't great out of the box.
So it's so you can run lower pressure? Also can hear the air in the forks sometimes. .is this why? Lol

Bling! Think Euan did it to one of his shocks at TF, can't remember the name of their "black betty" That I did, brilliant bit of kit, stopped the bike blowing through it's travel and was way more supportive than the original CTD..... And it also looked bling as fuck!

What's the "black" option called? Not sure it actually has an official name, I've heard Blackshima and Pushima being used

Lol Matt ya bollock here ya go ... PUSH FOX CTD Boost Valve and RP Series Shocks Thinking about having your Shock PUSHed? What difference does a PUSH tune make to the feel and ride of your shock? Standard FOX CTD, Boost Valve & RP Series When a standard FOX RP or CTD boost valve series shock compresses, the oil in the damper travels through two different paths. The first path (low speed) is through the centre of a bolt which holds a piston to the damper shaft. The damper shaft is housed within the shock body (the grey or gold anodised part of the shock). The oil flow through this central port can be stifled by a bullet tipped poppet valve when the rider activates the ProPedal lever. This is what provides you with a platform. The second path for oil is to travel through ports in the piston (mid-high speed). Once through the ports, the oil is controlled either by a penny washer which is preloaded by 1,2 or 3 conical washers to give you soft, medium or firm compression or on a more recent boost valve products, a hydraulic valve is used. The oil is forced against the piston ports by a charge of nitrogen (boost valve pressure). Variations in this pressure provide you with different levels of compression resistance. When the low speed oil flow has overcome resistance from the poppet valve, the washers or boost valve behind the piston provide the blow-off threshold of the platform. The washers or boost valve don't offer a great degree of control for the oil, and the riders’ experience is that the shock feels initially harsh, and then ‘wallowy’ in its stroke. This suspension ‘wallow’ is accentuated with large volume air cans. This standard shock configuration means that there are only a few different compression settings available to accommodate every rider and every bike linkage/leverage. PUSH Tuned FOX CTD, Boost Valve & RP Series When your shock is PUSH tuned at TF Tuned Shox, the piston is replaced with the PUSH VXR2 version, which has larger ports to allow more oil flow. We then use our expertise and the individual customer’s ride preferences to configure a stack of up to 30 shims each 1 1/10 of a mm thick. The PUSH shims control the flow of oil from the very beginning to the very end of the compression stroke, offering a ride characteristic which is completely customised for your frame and riding style. The ProPedal feature of the shock still remains, but in a better form, because we can alter the resistance from the poppet valve to offer more or less platform, depending on your requirements. The VXR2 piston also has larger ports for high speed rebound, allowing us to customise the rebound speed to return quickly after successive hits without being like a pogo stick. The end result is a shock which tracks the ground far more smoothly, responding to small bumps actively and giving an ‘endless’ feeling travel, whilst retaining a good level of resistance to pedalling when the ProPedal lever is actuated. After this customised damper circuit has been configured, we can also offer the BIG HIT KIT to provide a very gradual bottom out control for more extreme applications. This extra option is particularly useful for riders using shocks with a large volume air can. Enjoy ya read ... Ive not had chance to test ride the bike yet ...

So do i push tune the standard fox shock on my E29 or get a debonair?! hmmm..... I love the debonair shock on my current set up, kinda feels like I've got endless travel. But the lever on the shock is in a bad location, I always end up knocking it into a different mode!

I wouldn't change a Pushed Fox shock for a Debonair but then again I wouldn't change a Debonair for a Pushed Fox shock

If I've understood I think Gaz paid £140 for his shock push tuning, I got my shock from bikediscount and it was £260.
Bit of a difference price wise, and I'm not sure if you'll need a specialized specific shock? Aren't they a different mount or something?

Wow
Well got to try the five out on a test ride round the donkey ... After setting up the sag only running 70psi on the front forks and 150 on the shock .. It's like floating plus the front seems so more planted . I was hitting all the jumps and the landing felt like ... Well wot can I say just like landing on a soft bed .. I was blown away , I can't believe how good they feel compared to the old CTD forks .. So yep cost a fair few pounds but I'm blown away by them, rickstar was following me down down one of the trails and he was like Fk the way the bike floated over all the braking bumps .. So thumbs up from me ..
