Is it a TR Glynn?
Kirky what's happening with the Bird?
Edit: No, it's a 'normal' mega I can see now. Great frames, great bikes.

No the story goes I was home alone on Sunday morning and decided to try and find a slightly wide front tyre for the scout as my butchers look really narrow, anyway I came across a French website that showed lots of maxxis 2.4 from £27 for your shorties, minnions etc. I made the mistake of clicking into their sale page and ending up buying a pair of tyres but they keep with wheels attached.
I couldn't resist these mavic crossmax xl at £420, I justified it as the tyres being worth £100 so a good set of wheels that normally retail £650 for £320 notes. The plan is that these will go on the scout either now, if I sell my WTB or in the spring, my XM1501s will go on the Bird, they are nice and light at 1550gm so will make the bird fly. sorry. The mavics are hopefully stiffer and better suited to the Scout.
hence my WTB i25 could be available if a man from the steel city wants them.
Glynn how about these forks for £269 supposed to be belters and would look ace on that frame.

I know I was also a touch nervous aS I hadn't heard of them before but the site etc all seemed kosher.
The mavic wheels are very well priced compared with the others I've never seen sts at anything like 400£ before I think theirs are only 370 the new sl for xc rising were cheap as well.
Their tyres are very cheap but they don't seem to carry a lot of stock.
I will be adding them to my database of sites to cross check prices against for the future.

well the build is as good as complete.just got to cut the steerer down to size and as suspected it is a bit on the heavy size coming in at slightly over 33lbs. im hoping that its reputation as a trail bike out-weighs (pun intended) its weight. looks like i might have to trim down the ride toolkit to compensate.also carry less water as i never drink the lot.

Reminds me, need to weigh mine, an yes pics or it never happened
**Edit**
Dont chop the steerer right to where you want it, leave a little more. what you thinks high/low enough now may not be on the trails. Can always try it rearrange some spacers an come back to it after
