Glynn - how did you route the cable to the front mech? Got the triple cable clamps but not sure what to do with it when it comes to connecting to the mech?

if you look in this thread at the pic i posted of it when it was first built up you might be able to make out the routing.or this one was taken at a different angle. if you save this image then zoom in it should be clear.i threaded the cable through the rear shock mount then down to the front mech to make as large a loop as possible in the cable (try to avoid tight loops). as far as i could see this was the best option.

Thanks Glynn. I see you used the top tube cable mounts for it - I was thinking using the down tube, but your route makes more sense! Will use down tube for rear mech and brake I think and top tube for front mech and dropper.

just to add chris, obviously it makes a difference whether your mech is up-pull or down-pull. mine does either, and went for up.

Mines dual pull too - but this will be the first time I've used one. Was just trying to work out the cleanest cable route.

im still sceptical about 1 ring at the front. what happened to the advice of not causing too much sideways stress to the chain?

Jack doesn't run an expander mate .. I don't have a problem with it the bit I can't ride I don't think I would be able to ride anyway .. Ive got the 1x11 to go on when I get round to stripping the bike Down . But 1x10 with expander I get on fine with mate .. More so now my fitness is a little better and I'm a tad lighter
