Hello guys,
Sorry if this has been covered several times.
But as we are getting closer to dark nights can anyone recomend a good set of bike lights.
Ive heard that some Cree LED lights of ebay do the job for pretty cheap too.
Dont really want to go spending a fortune. Just curious if anyone has these type of lights.
Thanks
Phil

But saying that I managed to rip more button off one of my mtb batteries light managed to fix it :: the diffrent is battery life thy last hours longer than the cheap eBay ones when your on a mega 4/5 hour ride

Here are my illuminations ...putting them to use for the first time today ( since the clocks changed) as we are not starting the ride until 12.30 ..so it could be dark when we finish ... Sanguan helmet mounted ..2200 lumens ...Exposure Maxx ..bar mounted 720 lumens ... If you go down to the woods today ....!

The Chinee ones normally last 2 hours on the front-3 on the lid so one spare does it. My night rides haven't gone beyond 3 hours so that's fine, tbf.

I'm not gonna say your doing it wrong Gaz ...but ... It works better for me having the brightest light on my bonce ..why ? ...simple really the light on your head is more directional and shines where you actually look whereas bar mounted lights shine the way the bars are pointing and only illuminate what is in front of the wheel . Having the brighter light on your head gives you more of a chance to see what is coming up ahead on the trail .. I've tried both ways in the 10 years I've been night riding and honestly think this works best .. But each to their own mate ..

I've used one of the cheap cree lights for the last 2 seasons, great piece of kit. No need for ansecond light, this did more than enough. Stood on the charger last week though Ordered one of the Solarstorm lights the other day, hear they are good and the charger/battery pack will work with my old light as well... Result!
