thanks for the advice guys.
Ill take a look at some on ebay as they wont be used all that often. It will also be used for the commute to work on the bike aswell.

Just a tip.......if your using these bright lights for commuting, point the beam further downwards or drivers coming the opposite way will get their eyes burnt out. After a conversation i had with a driver while on a nightride i now use a much less powerful light when on the roads

Yeah it does tend to confuse the fuck out of drivers especially if there are a few of you in a group ..they are totally baffled as to what is heading there way ..I get the impression they think it's an alien spacecraft ...

Most think you are a horse rider on the country roads. actually between us we are running 8 of these lights and it must be quite strange coming round the corner to face that! We always run on the lowest setting for the road too.

I tend to turn my helmet light off when I'm on the road as well just leave my bar light on and dip it down ..
