That looks a different prospect altogether after rain ! We have travelled down there on three seperate occaisions over the years and have been lucky enough each time to only witness dry and dusty .. Let's hope you are right Macky ..

This was a little further on, same day, running water about 8" deep flowing over the rocks, very very hard to ride up so in traffic that would be a nightmare to push up, which happens a lot on the bhf rides.

It is fine to ride up, but when you put 500 riders up that path in one day, in that condition it will absolutely destroy it.

Hi peeps I got a response back Hi Gary Thank you for your email. We have checked with our organiser and they have confirmed we will not be using Cut Gate, we have designed a new route to avoid this section of the Peak District. We will be releasing the 2 route maps in the next couple of weeks online. Hope this helps. Kind Regards __ Veena Kalyan Supporter Care Administrative Assistant BHF Customer Service Centre British Heart Foundation Lyndon Place | 2096 Coventry Road | Sheldon Birmingham | B26 3YU 0300 330 3322 So that's good news will look forward to seeing the route

Just had an email about route changes: " Hi Chris
Thank you for signing up to take part in the Peak District Mountain Bike Challenge.
We’re just letting you know that we’ve had to make some minor changes to the routes which has changed the distances slightly.
There will now be a 38km route called The Advanced Route and the 65km route will now be 80km and known as The Extreme Route 80km.
Both routes are still a Route Grade 4.
We've automatically changed your registration to the new route, and there’s no action you need to take, however, if you would like to talk to us about this, please don't hesitate to contact events@bhf.org.uk.
Thank you again for your support in the fight against heart disease, we look forward to seeing you at the start line next year. "
Long route has gone up by 15k!!

Good to hear they're not including cutgate in the route. It would have been madness
