Alright Muckers.
Any of you lot had any experience of the Scott Genius LT 700 range of bikes? For as much as I like my two bikes I am now thinking about 1 bike does all and the Scott seems to fit that bill due to it's 170mm suspension which can be dropped to 110 for the climbs.
Are there any other bikes other than the Canyon Strive and the YT Snapra that I should be looking at?

They do look wicked dont they. As much as I like the 700 it will be the 710 that I go for if I decide to go ahead. I'm spending far too much money on the car the now lol

I seen that review which led me to post this. The 13/14 bikes had the flawed fox 34 ctd suspension, the 15/16 bikes have fox 36's and a reworked rear shock and the reviews seem to be more favourable.

First colourway yuck, second very nice, reviews questionable but as you say the fork let the previous bike down.
Carbon cannondale Jekyll going cheap at Paul's cycles.

I know one of the good things about Scott is that the are one of the best at building carbon frames

Would I sell my Knolly for one? Yup, yup I would. In fact, I'm considering it now.

Mondraker Dune carbon, A mere 6.5K to you sir and i think it would suit your build with it having more room in the cockpit with you being a tall fella you could also demo one from I Cycles at inners as Steve is a dealer, worth a demo at least, cheaper versions available of course but this one looks the baws Nothing better than a demo to get your mojo goin again

Is it just me or does the Mondrakers rear shock position/set up look even more susceptible to crud and mud than others?

The Jekyll is a good bike but unfortunately when I demo'd one I just didn't get on with it, it was one of those bikes where I really wanted to like too.
Anyway, a decision has now been made, watch this space over the coming weeks for updates.

Takes a bit of getting used to apprently I rode up and down rode on mates an the back felt weird
