I think off the shelf options are not the best. The below article by mountain rescue explains what bit are good to carry and why. Then just pop all this in a exped water proof bag. www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=3593 Good article and suggested items to carry. As it mentions much better to make your own (using items such as in the article) than buy one off the shelf . I find compact off the shelf ones often have stuff that I wouldnt use for a MTB off, such as plasters(MTFU or use a bit of dressing and tape etc), blister kit WTF, or sewing kit (I kid you not)etc and not contain practical things like larger dressings etc. PS like the duct tape idea, need to pop a bit of that in my kit.

When I first read about the accident I didn't think it was going to be this serious, I just thought a hard hit to the ground and a few superficial cuts. That helmet looks like it has taken a battering. Get well soon!

Yeah mines mainly plasters, one I'm looking at has a lot of useful bits but some utter rubbish to, a cannula for example but nothing to go in it. Plan is get it, take out the bits that I wouldn't use an add useful things. The glove point in that article is worth bearing in mind, also goes for plasters as quite a few are latex based. I'm going to do a proper kit list later an where things can be easily bought. Like sterile wipes etc.
