Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Drum roll please . . . . . . . . . . . . So far we have raised £250, a great effort by all those who have donated, thank you. Lets see if we cant get an extra £120 for a replacement helmet for him Was looking at the MIPS version of the one he was wearing. whatever you can give will be very gratefully received and go a long way financially to lessening the burden of this on his family, but more importantly mentally, in knowing there are lots of friends out there thinking of him and wishing he gets well soon. Think Seb is trying to sort the helmet out bell mips one poss if we can get him a new to n shorts or something and give the rest for the traveling cost to his long suffering wife

I think I get what you are saying Euan ... At this stage of his recovery it is a bit of a reminder of what went wrong .. I know you said ( Gaz ) that he had told Glynis that he wasn't getting rid of the bike ..that might well have been bravado speaking ..plonking a new helmet in front of him might just force him into doing something that he hasn't really made his mind up on . Pschologically it's going to be a massive step to go riding again ...and I think it's up to Andy alone to make that decision ..by all means mention that there are funds there IF he wants to buy a new helmet ..but let him decide .. Just my own thoughts ...you lads know him better

Fair play chaps and know wot your saying . As much as Andy would like to ride a bike I'm thinking part of him won't want to after this ... I would give them the money to help with the costs of the hotel fees and then let them decide .. If Andy does want to ride again I'll talk him in to getting a bell mips or something ..

On a serious note... I think giving The Watsons the money and letting them decide is probably the best idea.
