Cheers Jay, would be good to ride with you guys again - I do need to try and get out more. You should join us, mate. Seriously, we don't race anywhere, it's more a social thing. We probably spend just as much time standing taking the piss out of each other or sat drinking coffee at a cafe as we do riding! We always have a laugh and get around 20 miles in.

Sat at home after spewing my guts up for most of the night - seemed like a perfect opportunity to get cracking! Everyone loves a bit of carbon: And Hope: Warhead bars and stem: Starting to look like a bike:

Tiny bit more progress: Was going to put BB in, but not sure which side/how many spacers are need as there's no instructions in the box..... And how do I attach the shifters to the brakes? Do I need some extra bolts?

That's gonna look ace - I recognise that Hope Head Doctor!
Love the silver and red frame too - when I bought the Chief it really was a toss up between it and the TR, love em.

Cheers Pez. The head Doctor was pretty easy to fit, bit of grease on the o-ring and threads and compressed it with a cable tie it slipped in a treat!
I wasn't sure about the silver/red as I wanted the black/yellow jobbie but this one came at the right price - It'll look even better when the wheels go on!

Now I have a track pump I can get the wheels sorted - hopefully tonight's job. Also means I can get it out of the kitchen and back in the garage once it has wheels on.

I paid 23 quid for the Heritage Stealth ones, both fork and shock from Mojo...even though all black, they look really cool! I definetely think its a great way to personalise your bike. Slik graphics are shocking at responding to emails. Surprised me that has G - got my stealth graphic, pike and debonair from Slik and they were excellent. Answered me straight away and the quality was excellent - all about the same as you paid as well. Bet you just missed the email, what with you being Spanish n all, you were probably having a siesta or eating paella, or summat.

Almost done!! Had a good couple of hours on the build tonight: BB and crank installed Wheels and rear mech Rear brake shortened and done! Cabled front & rear mechs Almost done! Couple of cock-ups tonight though which has meant it isn't finished... 1. Putting dropper remote on bars I overtightened and broke the clamp - doh! Need to order a new one. 2. Chain has ended up way too long. And I put the pin back in before I realised - need to order some quick links. Indexed the gears OK - needed to take the spacer out from behind the B screw though to get clearance. Just waiting for my couple of Hope bits and the spares above and should be sorted. Hoping to christen it next week.

Thanks Glynn. You run 2x10 on your Nuke don't you? How did you size the chain?

no mate im a still a 90's throw back. 3x9 as iv still got spares standing by. eventually i'll change the drive train when it suits. i always use the same method for chain length. put the chain on the biggest cassette sprocket and biggest ring, even tho you wouldnt use that combination, then gauge the length by very nearly extending the rear mech as far as it goes with the chain threaded through it. dont know if this works for clutch mechs as iv never had one.

Thanks Glynn. Think I'll try the suggested method on the Sheldon Brown Blog. Might try more than 2 links overlap to be on the safe side first though.

All done bar the dropper post: Took it for a quick spin round the block. Brakes need bedding in and need to put some more air in the shock. Size wise it feels great - slightly longer than my HT but feels good. Hoping to get out Thursday evening for lap of the dog once dropper is sorted.
