Hello fellow forumites.. I need a new jacket and I'm after your recommendations. The criteria is as follows:- Cheaper the better, max £50 (i'm not a fan of falling and tearing expensive jackets) Ideally windproof (not necessarily waterproof) Must be able to pack away into my bag.. That's it! I just want a thin jacket that will keep the chill off me in cooler temperatures. Something like this would be ideal. Has anybody used the MT500? Thanks and all that shite

I have the same MT500 waterproof jacket as Lee ..and he is right ..it's a nice bit of kit ! The jacket you are looking at cant make its mind up if it's a Jacket or a Jersey judging by the full description ..seems like a good price ..but I noticed you said that you weren't worried about it being waterproof ..and that very definitely won't be ... My only criticism of the jacket I have is the hood ..I wish it wasn't there ..it doesn't fold away or detach and for the most part is just in the way ..other jackets of that type ..the hood either folds away to make a collar or detaches completely ..spoils what otherwise would be a perfect jacket.

The one I have the hood folds away and has a clip to hold the hood in place.

Good grief that was quick ...I was only complaining a few short hours ago ! Lol To be fair I have had mine for a few years now ...they must have recognised the " fault " and improved the design .. Good to know ..
