I'm sure it's not just me... I had a great four hours on the bike today after re-searching on the Geograph website a couple of bridleways which looked to be a great addition to the riding we do towards the Stonehaugh area of Wark Forest ( Kielder Forest Park ) . I love exploring something new ..even if its only for a small section to add into an existing ride ..and it's a bit of a buzz when they actually exist ( not overgrown ) . These two sections did work out ..one towards the end I already knew would as I had walked it ..but not ridden it ..the other section was good in 2011 ..which was the last time there was a pic ..but a lot can happen in terms of things getting overgrown in 4years! A 20 + mile ride just go check out 1mile ..but well worth it because it was rideable ... A few pics starting with Felicia Crags ..an F.C stone quarry Me, myself & I ! The start of the bridleway west of Felicia Crags going over Round Top , Wark Forest . Grid ref NY 715 778 This is good for about 1.5 km when it hits the road . The drop from the road into Green Lee Clough initially looks excellent ..but I know this peters out after passing through the forest to the edge of the moor ( so didn't ride it ) It would also ride better the other way ... More down ..and was surprisingly firm for the amount of rain we have had !

Misty and moody - I like it! Trails didn't look bad, either

Excellent fun. I rarely get out for longer than 2 hours at a time? Not having to travel to an office every day ...and no longer employing people has its advantages Jim ! The money is nowhere near as good as it used to be ..but as long as I have my I -phone and a signal I'm sorted ...and as I get older time means more to me than cold hard cash ..I couldn't put a price on having the freedom ( within reason ) to get out riding ..plus I'm following doctors orders in terms of my health ! The only thing that takes some explaining is when I answer the phone breathing heavily after over exertion the women seem to like it ...not sure about the blokes ...haha
