See, I wish I hadn't, as I did manage to blow my shock. I have about 90mm of rear travel now, so yeah, plenty of rock strikes today.

Not been feeling great this week, most likely the after effects of spending a few days soaked to the bone and freezing cold, felt a bit better this morning but with crap forecast from midday decided to head out early and just have a canal towpath type bimble from the front door (not exactly the front door as I don't live on a barge. Got 20 miles up the leeds Liverpool canal towards barnoldswick and the strong winds that were due due between 11 to 12am came at 10 instead. The return leg cycling against a 45mph head wind was bloody hard work, it felt like I was putting in what's normally around 16/18mph of effort just to get a steady 10mph. Was supposed to a nice gentle ride to test if my cold has gone but I was knackered when I got home.
There was still far too any people out walking the dogs, some okay and some ignorant fuckers.

Went out today - had been raining all night so was a proper mud swamp. 17 miles through treacle returning home looking like I'd done a Tough Mudder - deep joy.
Heck, still great to get out & about as always.
Nearly took longer to clean the bike than it did to ride!

2nd twelve hour shift of the weekend on year end stock take duties, 15 Friday and another long one tomorrow. Deep joy will definitely be out next weekend whatever the weather. Only sunshine on the horizon is the overtime payment in December.

Your a nutter Macky, if it was half as windy in the peaks as Rossendale/burnley it must have been hard work at times.

I know the feeling, I got wet again on Saturday morning though. I know have 4 pairs of flats at various stages of drying out but seem to be taking forever. Im going to have to had my clipped pedals just so I can wear some dry shoes.
Are you off on Wednesday or Friday by any chance, some dry weather due at last especially for Friday.
