to cut a long story short, some garmin gps devices (including mine)are crap at measuring altitude gain on a ride. at the end of wednesdays ride mine showed approx 4500 ft.....i knew this was way over measured. so decided to plot the route we did on my basecamp on the PC. so not including the bit extra where we (I) missed the turn off, the plotted route measured almost 2800ft of climbing. is that anywhere near anyone elses measured height gain from the ride?

But looking on Strava jacks was showing 2988ft and nicks was showing 2600 ft lol go figure ..
