I have a 2010 Ford Focus ST so I would need to put the roof bars on then a single rack. Literally have no idea of fit at the moment, will be looking into this over the weekend properly.
Just looking forward to getting out on this thing. I pick it up on Saturday, I think I will just take myself off somewhere to get to grips with it at my own pace this weekend or next.
I will get the pictures Saturday and upload some once I work out how to haha.

In case you are un-aware danthor...you won't be able to upload directly to the site..you will need to use a site like photobucket or Tinypic first ....

If you are looking for some friendly faces to get out and about with then I'm sure Kev (chopper) or myself would be happy for you to tag along, I'm no expert but auld Kev is fairly nifty on the bike.

Have a look here for bars/carriers, it's where I got mine from, quite cheap and good service too. www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel2a.php?query=7766&emulate=whycar

Ok I will look into photobucket and alike over the weekend. Hopefully the weather on Saturday will be ok so that I can get out on the bike and enjoy myself and snap a few “dirty” pictures so Andy gets his fix… Cheers for that Euan, I will take you up on that sometime once I get to grips with the bike to avoid making a fool of myself in a group ride haha. Where about do you normally ride? I have stumbled on that site before while looking for bars and racks. Will have a look over it again this lunch time / weekend and see about picking something up. This month has been an incredibly expensive month, but hopefully it will be worth it. Now that I have the bike and once I have the kit I need to transport it I hope this will be a relatively inexpensive hobby? Unless I start changing out parts on the bike…then I guess it wont be .

Haha I thought there might be a quick response squashing my expectations on cost I can only try and keep my costs down I guess… but as above, this might be easier said than done. All in the name of fun though . Cheers for another link, will give that a brows later.

Just an idea but as you have a ford you could try the Ford parts site they do roof bar and carrier packages. Good quality and guaranteed to fit. Also with a large discount normally on the thule pro ride 591 which fit any bike and hold it very securely.

Cheers for that Euan, I will take you up on that sometime once I get to grips with the bike to avoid making a fool of myself in a group ride haha. Where about do you normally ride? No Worries. I normally ride Glentress/Innerleithen but not been down that often lately, I also have the odd jaunt round the Pentlands and Beecraigs. I wouldn't worry about making a fool of yourself as I normally lead the fool competition lol, I spend more time on the ground than on the bike lol

It's Armageddon through this way at the moment However........roof racks and carriers were dilivered today so I might just get geared up and head for the Pentlands / Flotterstone. But seriously, the weather is brutal at the moment. But at least if I do go out then everyone is guaranteed some dirties. Despite only riden the bike to the train station I am well chuffed. I'm just disappointed that I haven't been out properly yet and once I am out there is no guarantee my neck will hold out. I can only wait and see though. Fingers crossed tomorrow isn't as bad as today

Well today was a good day Finished off putting the roof bars on and the carrier then went to the Pentlands. Spent hours riding and got back to the car as it was getting dark which was lucky. Really good good day spent on the bike.......although my hands perished as I didn't have any gloves. Here are some pictures from the day. Sorry once again Andy, my phone died so I couldn't get any dirties for you, but good things come to those who wait haha.

Ok, that post was to have images attached. I have opened a photobucket account but I obviously don't know how to post pictures to this forum from it.
Does anyone have a couple of pointers that might help me?

Danny I downloaded the app onto my i-phone ..it's free to download ..as that is where all my pics that go onto the forum come from . You will need to set up your account with a password ..then just follow the instructions .. If you get stuck after that then just shout ..but I think it's pretty straight forward once set up . I managed and I'm pretty useless at setting up tech ...
