Got a late call last night from Dave & Jean who said they were going up to Kielder to do the Osprey Trail and did I fancy joining them ...hell yeah ! I had arranged to check out the Bothy at Tarset Tor ( second night of the Bothy weekend ) ..so that's what we did first and I've got to say it was very impressive.. A really enjoyable ride followed ..Jean was flying those spin classes in the gym paying dividends ...Dave was feeling it a bit ..so was I but at least Dave had the excuse of a 2hr badminton session yesterday and a late shift at work ..plus he hadn't been on his bike since November ..I didn't have one ...! We also had a brief chat about our Scottish trip away ..end of May ..looking like Skye & Applecross ..but still open for discussion ..with perhaps the best short ride in Scotland either on the way there or back ..the lower reaches of Larig Ghru ..in the Rothiemurcus Estatewhich Dave & Jean have done before ..but I've still to scratch it off my list... Colin & Graham ..input required ...

I'm pretty sure that's Larig Ghuru Neil, nice picture we didn't have weather like that though, first time it was snow covered at the top and second time it was wet, very wet! 3rd time lucky maybe. It is a lovely bit of single track.
