Checking out some of the Bothy route ...with pics

With a nice little gap in the weather ..blue skies and just a breeze it was too good an opportunity not to check out a part of the route we will be using on the Bothy weekend at Easter .
With all the high winds we have had recently I was a little concerned that a certain " fragile " section could have been devastated ..but so far so good !
There was a couple of scraggy trees down but nothing to be concerned about ...
So a nice three hours on some trails that I hadn't ridden in years incorporating the section above ..

Starting off ..beautiful clear sky and not a breath of wind ..
Des res in the forest ...this is our first nights accomodation...
Unfortunately someone got there before us
YOU DIDNT REALLY BELIEVE ME ...did you ?
Graham you are a bit of an Ornithornymagolsist aren't you ..do you reckon that box is for an owl ?
This is the bridleway I wanted to check ..maybe another run through nearer to the time with a pair of loppers for a few stray branches ..but there is a line through here ..even though it looks like there isn't ..
Entrance to the secret kingdom..doesn't look as if you could ?
Looking back after the first couple of metres
This section only stretches for about 10 metres ..then opens out
Don't worry there is a good line !

The end of the section is nigh ...( Falstone where we will be re-fuelling in the tea room ..in the distance ) ...
And at this point my storage became full and no more pics could be taken !
