Hello  , I am heading to the Pentlands tomorrow (Saturday 6th) for around 9:30 am to meet someone I randomly met while out on the bike last time out. We are looking to do the reservoir lop from Flotterstone or do the 5 peaks loop. Last time out I did the reservoir loop I thoroughly enjoyed it, I have never done the 5 peaks loop. Just thought I would put a message up on this to see if anyone else would be keen to join. I know from another one of my posts that there are a couple of members on here from around the Edinburgh ish area. The weather tomorrow is to be ok so far early on till around the 4pm ish mark. Anyway, it would be good to get to know some forum members should anyone be free |

Dan ..might well have joined you for this had I not been grounded due to the fact my missus is leaving early for an overnight birthday celebration tomorrow ..meaning I'm grounded with our son .
Keep posting your rides up ..I'm hoping to organise a Glentress trip in the not too distant future ..

Please give a bit of notice on a glentress ride Neil and I will try to come up on the Friday and stay in that cheap bike friendly place that Kev posted up, do a little bit in the afternoon and then meet up your northern posse on the Saturday for the ride, that's if it is Saturday. |

Nice one, are we talking trail centre plus cheekies, I've ridden a few but doubt I will remember where to enter them. Ho chinminh was a cracker and there's a longer option before now I think.

I wouldn't have a clue where the cheekies are ...
It will be a mix of everything from blue through red to black ..some of the blue stuff is superb ..we will pick out the best bits that we know ..I don't think you will feel short changed ...

I will attempt a few snaps of evidence for you pal, however my phone is pants and sometimes turns off when I take a photo and my screen lock button is broken so the only way to turn it back on is by putting it on charge haha. Wish I didn't lose my htc after a few beverages on holiday haha  Ok Euan, I will be at Flotterstone car park at 9:30-9:45 ish if you are able to make it. Kev, where about bout is the Golfie? |

That's where the Golfie is, it's very very steep Blue two door Ford Focus St mate with a single bike rack on the top Hopefully the weather will be with us tomorrow. The guy (Murry) will meet us at the car park tomorrow at around 10 so no rush mate. I will get there for about 9:40 ish so I will keep a lookout for you. Ah ok, I will have to attempt it at some point. Might leave it a little till I try keep up with you lot over that sort of terrain haha. |

Can you still taste the bark? It was so tricky bit with all those roots and being on the steepest side. Going to smash it next time. Here's a reminder. The problem occurs around 49 secs in. I coasted and walked down after I had sorted my steering out. |
