Binned today's ride (afeckingain). Looks like a boring hour on the cross trainer again.
Wind not too bad but still gusting and with the sodden ground - dodgy to ride in a forest as the roots will come up easier. Hasn't stopped raining for 48 hours now.
How is it in all your various necks of the woods? I'm guessing marsbarman will have had the worst of it?

Its wearing a bit thin here,we seem to be getting a constant stream of storm after storm.Just making the best of it by trying to fit rides in when it's not raining quite so hard!

Worst winter (for MTBing) I can remember. Ohhh for the hard frosts and freezing, still, sunny days. Think I've got SADS, seriously.

Just wet and windy here. I sacked my rides this weekend as it would have been more of a slop fest than the previous weekend. My daughter isn't too impressed with them calling it Imogen though...... ^^^^Storm in a tea cup.....

I was going out last night but binned it as the wind and rain were horrendous. Was really looking forward to riding this weekend as the trails were pretty dry but due to decorating I haven't cycled for 2 weeks. Just want to get out and ride! Circuits tonight and an urban ride tomorrow fingers crossed.

Spinning class at the local gym lunchtime today just as motivation to hit it hard, the views were arguably better than out on the mtb mind you.
Bloody hard going with 8 x tabathas after a quick warm up followed by lots of hill climbing climaxing in hard as you could go resistance. A bit of a weight session after. Back to the gym tonight for some resistance training and a bit of stair master.
Gym tomorrow followed by a session in the sauna nice to feel some heat for a change.
A medium length ride somewhere Wednesday, last run out before Saturday. Thursday, nip out of the office for a lunch time gym session. Friday no activity other than a drive down to London and back to see a client.

The weather is a bit shit here in Dudley, already had 50 mins on the spin bike, but I always use the spin bike on a Monday and Thursday. I got dropped from a ride yesterday, not because of the weather but because the other half took my bike apart and didn't get it back together in time for a ride round the dog with our daughter!!! They left me home alone with just a bottle of sauvignon blanc for company. Don't think they'll do it again as dinner was burned when they got back;-)

Getting worse here in Chase land. Winds have cranked up to the blowing bins over point - there'll be trees down all over the Chase!

Kirky ..careful what you write there .. First you are talking about the views being arguably better in the gym ( wink wink nudge nudge ...know what you mean ) ..but then you go on to talk about climaxing hard .. You will lose your membership if you're not careful ..

My bike had been out of action for the last few days, but considering my little 1.1 Saxo was struggling going against the wind over the weekend, i wouldnt have been riding it anyway. Gusts of 96mph were recorded last night at the Needles! Its always windy up near them, but thats extreme. Wind and rain hammering against my window last night kept me up to the early hours
