Apparently this is on the verge of happening. Can't help thinking that we will lose out on some bargains because of it

We will get good prices if they maintain CRC's rather than Wiggle's...but I doubt it...less competition, so Wiggle will just maintain their prices I guess!

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. You'd think that they'd keep them as separate online entities and identities as both offer something slightly different. I have to confess that I've only ever used Wiggle twice - most of my business goes to CRC as they seem to be the better of the two for MTB stuff. Hope they don't ditch the 10% British Cycling Discount on CRC.

Hardly ever use wiggle, not so much stock and normally abit more expensive. Isn't it abit more focused towards Road? !

So, do you think CRC will still continue? I was thinking that it would finish! If it continues and keeps the same type of prices, etc, I'm not bothered!

Would be daft to by them up and just get rid of the brand completely - especially as they're globally recognised. Lot of other companies get bought out but keep the names, will probably end up as "Chain Reaction Cycles Part of the Wiggle Group".

Don't buy much off wiggle now days ., and I find chain reaction a bit expensive some times .. One good thing with chain reaction is the returns never have a problem

I always buy from Evans local store with the Price Match. I like the fact that if you buy anything over 50 or 60 quid you get 5 quid off from CRC...also price matched by Evans! CRC is great for free returns and usually the best prices out there!

I've never dealt with an ONLINE store which has as good customer service as CRC...
Just last week, i ordered a new stem, when i installed it, one of the clamp bolts threaded in the stem, meaning that only one bolt was securing the stem to the steerer and it made the new stem effectively useless. I Wasn't sure if it was me being a numpty (torquing it up too tight) or if it was misaligned from the factory, but i got straight on the blower to CRC customer service, and they agreed straight away to send another one out, FOC, without me returning mine. This was Wednesday afternoon and it arrived lunchtime today, so my bike is now ready to ride this half term.
Excellent service, if they still have this and their super quick delivery with harribo included, i wont be complaining!

I had similar customer service..once broke an expensive KMC chain, gave them a ring...gave me my money back, not even any slight fuss!

I've also noticed the CRC decline, I've also noticed that Evans has got a lot better and their prices are more competitive sometimes even cheaper than zee Germans

Noticed that too with Evans they are popping up with some annoyingly tempting offers, CRC seem to have stagnated for what ever reason, the loss of Cube to a rival will have hurt as its a better earner than Nukeproof. Hopefully we will see a better offering with the bigger buying power. Some brands may drop off and be grabbed by other companies we will see though.
