KingdomWas kinda thrown back a little by this bike. 1, its relatively heavy for a Ti and 2, its mediocre review considering the build... this was a bike i was considering... perhaps a spec tweek might help, particularly the rear shock.......thoughts??

GO FOR IT ADAM....!!!LOL...(you know that price is just for frame right?!) i will read that review carefully, but did you read this one below: enduro-mtb.com/en/greater-than-the-sum-of-its-parts-kingdom-switch/Albeit in the end it was more than 8.5K...OUCH...i follow a guy on Instagram who races with the Switch and he says the bike is amazing, very sturdy and assuring. The younger sister (the Hex which I'm waiting) got 4.5 stars on their review. Maybe you should give mine a try first when it arrives. Im looking forward to see if i can get it built under 27lbs. That shock is supposed to be amazing (almost 1K though?!) which makes it even more strange. Maybe only 3 stars is also a bit harsh from them following that review...in the end of the day you can change the shock. enduro-mtb.com/en/push-elevensix-review-coil-shock-for-enduro-bikes/If you are really serious about it, send Chris an email and I'm sure he would probably give you a deal too...or i could do it for you maybe and see if it would make a difference since I'm already a customer. One thing i can tell you, they are great people to deal with.

I was expecting a £5k build at least... Instead I chose to buy two bikes more fitting.. A fatty and a steely.

Of course it depends on the exact spec but on a Switch, very quickly it would hit the 5K for sure, probably not far from 6K, TBH. Im biased maybe, but i don't think that score was appropriate following careful reading the review. Those Push ElevenSix come setup and tuned from TFT specifically for a rider weight and riding style, so if it wasn't done specifically for the reviewer (which i doubt) it will make a difference.

I'd happily buy a £8K bike, no problem. But I'd not ride it... I've often found Bike Radar fairly accurate with reviews.. but they stated they built it up.. so performance wouldn't be for the average rider... with so many spec options there will be an option more fitting to another buyer I'm sure..

What's the point in spending that much money not to ride? But don't you agree that after reading the review, 3 stars sounds a bit harsh! Nothing too negative about it except they didn't find the perfect tune on the shock!? I also know that Kingdom built that setup for them and one of the mechanics at TFT rides an Hex with that ElevenSix coil shock and says it is incredible...but oh that price?! 1K for a shock is criminal almost, specially when it is much heavier than the best Fox at half its cost!

I'd be to weary of getting it mucky or scratched.... 3 stars doesn't make it a bad bike.... in their rating apparently.. but Bike Radar prefer your carbon bikes...

Lol...scratches on Ti is not a problem, and Kingdom have a good warranty on the frames! Lol When you compare this score with the Hex though, it doesn't make much sense! Kingdom are also now testing in Tenerife a new shorter travel full suss (130mm I think). A mix, half Vendetta, with the rear of the Hex...looks like it is a go-er for next year maybe!

I'll keep it on the radar..for next year's fleet upgrade..

It's all over on Instagram and on their website. They even have a photo with its geometry. If half the frame is the Vendetta, I would expect it to also be a bit cheaper maybe due to production efficiencies. But like I said, we could arrange a forum ride, so you could try the Hex and get a feel for it...and I can try a fatty! Lol

Forget it then...mine is an M! Lol You must be over 6.3 then... I would only swap a Santa Cruz for a Ti masterpiece...or a Ibis Mojo maybe!

its funny right...some people would give their pinky finger to own some of those...and i would never get too excited by the Norco...the reviews on the new SC Hightower are very interesting! Me thinks you need to get a Ti next...any from Kingdom will do!? Go on...

Hence why I prefer my Reynolds... For looks alone.. I'd love a Ti ....can't beat Ti in that department...

Lynskey's are always harsh! Good thing about Kingdom is that they develop their bikes with proper real prototypes, rather than just cad programmes, numbers and figures! The Foxy's also look like proper machines...I'm just not too sure on the design of the rear shock for the UK muddy weather...for Spanish dry conditions, sure no problem! But it's great to look at, and aggressive looking!

On a whole Ti is a harsher material.. than Steel for example. The very structure of the material negates this... that's not to say harshness can't be reduced.... by means of tyres and suspension....

Not quite sure i agree with that?! Ti doesn't flex that much more than other materials (not including carbon) but it does have a low elastic modulous (much more than any other frame material) which means in effect it has an inbuilt spring which is great for bump absorption and brilliant on HT’s. Sadly most people/reviewers mistake the low elastic modulous for flex two completely different things. In the end of the day it all depends on how good or not, the frame is designed...I would think that Ti allows you to have thinner tubes than steel.

It's the low density and medium modulus of Ti, it's comparable to stiffness/weight ratio as Reynolds steel... but with less material Ti in a frame for an equal amount of strength. With Less material.. although stronger.. doesn't allow for great vibration absorption, or shock.

Do you want my true honest opinion? I just like the way Ti looks most of all. However I remember noticing a difference in trail buzz, etc, when I went from Ali to Ti on a usual cobbled section I usually do. Never ridden steel but rust/maintenance concerns me.

Looks wise Ti can't be beaten.. especially after the heat treatment, and if they don't polish out the rainbow heat marks around the welds... can't say I've ever had a steel frame rust though... not since the 90's.. perhaps the cheaper Cro-mo frames.. from On-one and Ragley.. Reynolds is usually treated for rust.

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to steel tbh...except that it looks like if you want a good frame, you go for Cotic...funny you say that about the look of Ti. On another forum i used to go regularly, a very keen member there says Ti frames look cheap, unfinished, unprofessional and horrible!? Lol!

Eighteen, shand, Stanton, Sanderson, Cotic, Genisis, Cromag all make fantastic steel steeds... The welds on Ti are often excellent... They have to be... It's a very hard material to manufacture with... Hence the price..

The ones on my Van Nicholas Tuareg were impressive...the whole frame has amazing details, from the dropouts, to the yoke, engraving head tube...just needs internal routing and being able to run a full outer cable...I do miss it. I hope the Kingdom is as good in terms of welding/looks!? I did consider Stanton and Charge previously...however for Ti, at the moment nothing beats Kingdom I think, except if XC racing just, Van Nicholas are great with the Tuareg and the new Revelstoke. Bike porn!
