Right boys and girls I'm after a new pack, currently have a Camelbak Mule but I'm after something bigger. Possibly 18l ish?
Any recommendations?

i use a Deuter bag, Race model and i think it is great. Not sure if they have a version of that capacity, but its worth a try. i use it with a Vaude bladder for hydro.

Have a look at the Osprey raptor range, i buy them for the hydration bladder alone, very well thought out, plenty space for everything

I was using an Osprey Raptor for a while, but I've gone back to my EVOC bag, I don't need the masses of space it gives (I could use something a lot smaller), but the back protection is a great bonus.

Osprey escapist if you want larger I do like the look of that jimbo but these don't come with a bladder, just had a quick look and the hydration systems are £20! WTF!! I'll continue looking but the HAWG might be looking promising.

..by the way Roundie ..that Hawg also comes with its own rainproof / mud cover ..in built at the bottom of the pack . Having had an older version for 10 years ..this version is like chalk & cheese ..in a good way ! Here is a review I did on here last year mtb-uk.co.uk/thread/2419/camelbak-hawg-nv

I had a HAWG and it's a great bag - I just think the Osprey bladder is a better design - bit more user friendly than the Camelbak one.

I agree, it makes it quite expensive when you add the bladder but it is a good bag. I use the Mule day to day riding and then the Osprey for when I am out with the family. You know what it is like, Mum makes them wear 10 layers and then 2 minutes down the road they want to put 9 of those layers in your rucksack!!!!
The Opsrey is great for walks, travel luggage, etc too.
