After checking the weather report I decided to head up to Thrunton Woods in Northumberland which looked to the be clear until late afternoon, I certainly didn't expect this amount of snow!
I still had a great morning riding.
Clean again...

Who actually does them? or were you planning on buying everything separate and getting a shop to put it together? I was briefly looking at them...with CK hubs it was coming at around 2.3k...with Hope Pro 4 around 2k...

My local bike shop does them (Start cycles). For a set of M70 40's on Chris king they were working out around £2300 or £2100 for a none finance deal. Most shops can sell them but don't stock them. I see at bike park Wales you can now demo a set for £50, I'm very tempted!

Thanks...so on some Hope Pro 4's you could possibly bring them under 2K...still a huge amount of dosh, specially on something you can damage easily and when I compared them in terms of weight with the Crossmax, they were very similar...however I might take the plunge in a couple of years maybe!

I think if you want Enve to build them your only hub options are DT Swiss or Chris King, I don't know how getting them build else where will affect the 5 year warranty and half price crash replacement. You're right though, the cost is huge compared to a set of Crossmax or E-thirteen wheels, weight wise you save around 200g going for a set of Enve M60 HVs on DT swiss @ 1530g compared to Crossmax Enduros @ 1710g.

Thats 10 pound per gram...shit the bed! My Crossmax ST's weigh the same and hopefully are robust enough for what do, so in terms of weight it is the same. Apparently Mavic is going top bring out their carbon version soon too. And then there is the choice between the M70's or M60's...i would probably go M60's for a bit better climbing.
