whos eyes arnt what they used to be. was well impressed with these riding specs i tried out today. they are from Boots opticians. clear lenses ,no prescription except for the bi-focal reading lens at the bottom. my eyes arnt so bad yet that i need specs for distance while im riding, but i do need the reading part of the lens for looking at maps, gps or while doing trailside repairs. i got them as a 'second pair half price' with a pair of everyday specs, for the cost of £7.50. even at the full price of £15 they are an absolute bargain and very useful

Speaking of glasses, my set of Aero cheapos from On One saved my eyes yesterday when i OTB into a bramble bush. Got cuts all up my arms and face, but they stop where my glasses start!
Thats a bargain there

Glynn ...could you just clarify the bi-focal bit ...do they come with a bi -focal or is this something you have had done ? to be honest im not too sure. i went in to ask for a look at their sports specs with a couple of different things in mind and they showed me the catalogue they have. i specificly asked for plain lenses with a bifocal reading lens at the bottom. they pointed to these and foned the company up there and then to make sure it could be done. they came with a 1.5 strength reading part of the lens and used my presciption to make sure they were suitable for me. i told them that i wasnt sure i would be having them, also a pair of photochromic sports specs, and just wanted to have a look before i decided whether to buy or not. they said no problem theres no obligation. i bought these, but declined the photochromics.

Very good that Glyn - like you my eyes are fine apart from reading small print and some of the more intricate trail repairs - I'll have a squint at these I currently carry a pair of reading glasses in me Osprey - would be better to have these though. Cheers.
