Well I booked an uplift spot for the crc demo day at bike park ireland tomorrow. My first time there so looking forward to it. Never done an uplift before. Hoping to try a mega tr 27.5, Ragley marley HT and a clown bike as I have never tried one. Setting off at 7am to be there for 9am so not too many beers for me tonight.

Just back from the demo day. Had a ball. Loving uplifts, legs ache not the lungs. So had a go on 4 bikes. Went on the vitus escarpe vrx and sommet vrx and the ragley marley and blue pig. I can't decide if I want a long travel hard tail or a full Susser. Started with a couple of blue runs then stuck to the reds. Didn't fancy the blacks.
Got to say the escarpe was a blast and I think I did about 4 runs with it. Did not get a good feel for the sommet so binned it after 1 run. Then had a go on the marley which was fun but much preferred the steel blue pig. It felt great. But I did find I went back for 1 last run on the escarpe so that was my winner today. Was impressed with the ragleys though. Never got a chance to go on a mmmbop though which also looked good.
One poor lad ended up looking like Mr Watson and was carted off in the back an ambulance. His face was a mess and apparently he was out cold for nearly 3 mins. Happened right at the end of the trail poor sod. Stacked it in front of everyone in the last 50 meters. Good thing was it meant he got help straight away. No one fancied demo ing that bike after though.
If anyone is ever in Ireland I can really recommend bike park ireland. Great day. Good cafe and friendly staff.

I loved my ragley blue pig for the gravity stuff but it`s no xc machine, the piglet or mmbop are definitely better for mile munching.

Did you try a 29er in the end? Read those new Mega's 29ers are really good! But maybe they didn't have them on offer!?

They only had one or two and they were out whenever I went to swap. The ragley guy was really singing the bigwigs praises. Might just be a bit biased though.
