Day off booked, heading over to Whinlatter 1st week in June, never been before, how do you guys rate it? usually ride Hamsterley so looking for a bit of a comparison.

It's a nice ride.
I went on a hardtail when it was raining and still enjoyed it!
It's a nice set-up, you have the north and south loops both are pretty much 1 climb up then 1 descent down!
Apparently the blue route is good too.

I think the only thing I didn't enjoy about the day was having to pay £7.50 to park my car.. I suspect the price has risen since then too! Apart from that, I'm sure you'll enjoy it  |

I love whinlatter climbs are ok and great fast descents  just a shame it's a bloody 3hr 30 min drive for me  |

Plus those trails must need maintenance and usually get new features tha must cost a reasonable amount of money! 7-50 is a bit steep compared to 4-50 at Degla tho! I'll be trying Whinlatter soon too!

An hour further than glentress, unless you have hammered glentress and just want to try somewhere different I don't think there can be a comparison between the two.

It's 8.50 now to park well was the last time I went ... Lol still a great place .. But I would park a bit further down the road . Oh and do the blue it's quite good fun as well |

I`ve only been once when we had a bit of a forum meet last year.north loop descent is awesome! we did the north,south,cafe for cake and a cuppa then did the north again.i normally hate going up but it`s well worth it for the downs.best bit was when gaz wanted to go chasing after some ignorant tw@T and deck him after he barged past us muttering about us clogging up the singletrack,I think we buggered up his strava times  |

Let's do it then gives me time to get back into fitness as I'm well out of shape at the minute but now averaging about 40-60 miles a week in between mtb,gym and road bike on turbo trainer and on road . bring pez with Ya . Pretty shure would meet some of you before that date as really want to do cannock sometime in July . |
