back now so ill get things sorted with the insurance. gotta decide spend the insurance on 2 bikes again an am bike and a dh bike or just get a do it all one bike with 170 ish travel...?

Any 160~mm hard hitting 'enduro' bike will do you well tbh. You'll need to ask yourself how much actual DH you do, and will a cheaper DH bike cope, or will a VERY well specced enduro bike do just as well?
