Just come back from mabie doing first 3rd of the Red as it we'd getting dark ..Wow what a bike , no more fucking back ache and shouler ache ..bike fits me amazingly . will get a renthal duo stem and might get a better headset too. what an amazing fast machine .I did Things I never thought in could do ..I felt so confident on it . climbs like a mountain goat even wity 140mm travel CTD shocks works as they should .

Bars, stem, headset, mech, drivetrain, brake hoses. ....glad your keeping the frame! :-D
Think all I've done to mine is grips and pedals :-)
I'm having a laugh with you kill, wish I had the money to upgrade stuff!

Massive saving - unbelievable that CRC messed up so well...big time. Next I reckon put the carbons back on, take a pic then set another poll up so's we can vote on the bars. I'm just not feeling the gold mate, tell me too f*ck off if you want, just being honest with you. It's still bloody gorgeous with the blingy bars but carbon would be gorgerouser They are just plain black with a bit of white writing on them , they look boring .will take a pick of bars for ya on there own . Now I love the carbon bars - but then I'm into the stealth look on bikes these days, maybe the white decals are a bit on the big side, If I could I'd rather have em plain black, but it's just different strokes for different folks. I see Burton likes the gold bars too - you kashima lads like yer bling. Bet you can't wait to get out on it today, did the Mrs mind you having the Blackline between you in bed last night? Look forward to seeing this bike in the flesh mate. Has to be the bargain of the century - I wonder if CRC will ever realise? How wide are the carbon bars? I might be interested. |

Yea mate I won't be spending much money on it yet anyway it will be new stem and that's it until next year . drive chain will get changed when bottom bracket needs changing as probably go XO1 as new XTR 1x11 ratio is only 11/40 ..but this is only if I get my tree trunk legs back . when I say bike is perfect I meant frame geometry and angles ,stiffness ,the forks and rear shock ,climbing on 140mm travel the speed and being a 29er it's agility going round corners ,I thought being 29er it's response to tackling would be slow but it's spot on . Zulu I did actually think about putting bike in bedroom ,I can't keep my eyes off it but missis said no fucking chance lol and yesterday didn't want to stop but had to because of low light at mabie . The bars are 750 wide mate and they are the custom havens . not sure how much I would let then go for though as I think the are about £100 or more . enjoy your forum ride today pal . I'm in love with riding again . |

forgot to say No more back Ache .I was in extreme pain on the lappy and still don't know why . Could be just as simple as the slight change in geo of the new bike? S'pose over a long ride a 1 or 2 degree change in head angle..a 3 or 4mm difference in top tube length can make a massive difference? Anyway - glad you are loving it. |

maybe i should put the carbon bars back on when my carbon paste arrives.
Had 2 offs today completing full Mabie Red . already got a deep scratch on top of bars now . first fall was an over the bar job and second was a side job hitting a huge root thinking i could go over it and down it ..steep drop and bike stopped dead and went into a fallen down tree sideways and bars went into the roots of the tree . firsr fall hurt more though .
Does it mean I'm getting better lol by falling off more because im going faster and getting more and more confident ..saying about confidence it was shattered after that second fall .
I nearly come off descender bender too , how i stayed on the bike i will never know ..

I'm sore today,got a golf ball on my knee and a great big scrape down on the inside of my bicep .thinking it might of come from going side ways into the downed tree root . thinking the money in saved I will get some protection .

Congratulations on the bike, it's great to get the bike you want, especially at a great price I feel for you coming off over mabie as I to am sitting here nursing a heavily bruised thigh. Hubbys birthday at the weekend and we went to Llandegla, but before we went I thought it it was funny to write on his facebook wall "happy bithday darling, be careful at degla today because injuries will take longer go heal now you're getting old". Of course when I came off on just after a berm on the back section before that big board walk thing he thought it was hilarious  I don't know how but the handle bars landed beneath me, I swear you can see an imprint of the specialized logo in the bruise  |
