Ah bugger, I was gutted to miss this I had my lycra all sorted and ready to go, just didn't remember to set my third alarm clock. I slept through first one at 6.00, and turned the snooze off on t'other one at 6.30. My old next door neighbour had kept me awake with some dementedly awful coughing fits during the night. I got up at one point and considered if I ought to call paramedics, seriously. But they survived, so that at least is a relief. The ride looks and sounds brilliant, the Cheviots in their magnificent and moody glory. Pics are great Neil.

Great pics looks a cracking place for a ride The Cheviots are Northumberland's best kept secret ...extremely quiet and it is not uncommon that you won't see another soul all day. Shout up if you ever head this way... We love showing them off !

This pic should have been the second one posted but has taken all day to upload... Everyone is taking the opportunity to shed a layer after a stiff climb away from the Carey Burn
